On the the television menu (in the anynet+ setup) i can switch the "auto turn off" to ON. If I switch the television of the AV-receiver will switch off. So far so good.
Now the irritating part. The TV will lose the setting after a short while. The "auto turn off" will be set to OFF.
I have the hdmi cable in slot hdmi4 of the TV. We have a WII on the component in ports of the TV (as the HW C500 AV receiver doesn't convert the component in to HDMI). The receiver has a DVD/HD recorder in it HDMI slot and a playstation3 in the sat HDMI slot.
Does anyone know how to solve this so that if we switch the TV off the AV-receiver will go off to.
Any ideas on how to switch the AV-receiver on when we switch the TV on?
Louis

louisverhagen,
It's quite possible that your television may be in SHOP Mode. You'd be able to tell for certain if you're picture or audio settings revert back to factory defaults after 30 min.
If that's the case, using your remote press:
Menu > Setup > Plug and Play [Enter]
You'll be prompted to go through the setup menu, and rescan for channels, just like as if the TV was brand-new. When prompted between HOME and SHOP Mode, choose HOME.
Does that help?

I was already sure I had set it to HOME. But I reinstalled the TV just like you described. And again, it works fine for a while, but next day it is set back to "off"
So unfortunately your suggestion didn't work
BTW I have the latest software upgrade from the website (from the top of my head 3007.1 ??)
Any other suggestions I might try?
