The vendor/Dell controls the upgrade path.
Think mobo/bios/drivers.
If Dell is telling you you're at the top of the path or there is no upgrade path from stock....your stuck.

Folks tend to get into this CPU upgrade stuff because games lag.
While it could be a CPU problem it's more likely to be a GPU problem....that's where the serious work is being done.
If this is a gaming issue?......you seem to have a rather old video card/cards.
Your list shows two video cards....I hope their strapped to run parallel mode....SLI?
Perhaps an upgrade in the GPU area might be of more benefit than the CPU area.

Yes, this is a gaming issue. I am planning on upgrading the Video Card, however some of today's games minimum requirements also are above the CPU i have.

One thing at a time.
Fit the machine with a nice GPU.
You might find the CPU issue has vanished and that you can get another couple of years out of the machine.

Is going to be the big drag on gaming.

The CPU is not the bottleneck yet. But go fit it with 2GB RAM since you are sticking to 32Bit Windows.
