Possible touchscreen fix?

how to fix your disfunctional touch panel



I found this and watched the video. seeing as how many of my TS symptoms change with temperature and are seemingly intermittent, it kinda makes sense.

My TS is now tracking the vertical axis only on the right side of the screen now, so, why not give it a shot!?!?



I am curious: does anyone else have slack between the touchscreen layer and the glass underneath of it (not the LCD, but the glass that is directly behind the TS layer)?



I'm curious if a low set clothes iron might be better, and then press the whole thing with a very flat item to keep the whole screen pressed evenly might be best?

Hey I got an idea. Take it to the dry cleaner! Let em use that huge shirt pressing machine they got.

Hmmmmm..... I'm not sure if you were being a smartass or not ......but that's kinda what I'm thinkin, only right around 160 degrees (as that is what a TB might see unattended in a hot car with direct sun light).

The best thing you can do is to send the unit to "Shawn" for repair. he knows what to do.

how about a sandwich:

put a paper towel on either side and place it into a vacuum bag, then heat the edges. It would reduce the insulating air involved as well as lost time setting down the lighter to press the film back on the glass (paper towel is to keep the bag from melting to the TS panel)?

Just a thought.
